"Leanne gives you more space to explore yourself than almost any other coach I know. She is never quick to rush in or push you towards a solution. She is extremely generous with time and the effect is for you to deepen and deepen and then deepen again your understanding of the issue until the answers just become wonderfully obvious." AP

Recovery Coaching for Coaches

There are lots of pitfalls coaches can fall into when working with clients with self destructive behaviour.  We offer coaching supervision and training to help coaches be more effective and confident and avoid colluding with their clients.

Benefits of supervision:

  • having a safe non judgmental place to talk about the clients
  • speaking to someone who understands the issues that lead to people behaving self destructively
  • gaining knowledge
  • learning new tools
  • seeing blind spots
  • managing despair when clients relapse
  • support and encouragement
  • affirmation that what coach is doing is useful

Benefits of training:

  • gaining knowledge
  • raising awareness
  • increasing confidence
  • meeting other coaches
  • forming peer support
  • increased credibility

The training is face to face and covers:

  • understanding addiction – physical, emotional and mental effects
  • theoretical approaches to addiction
  • recognising signs
  • cycle of change
  • how to work with client whilst acting in an addictive manner
  • how to work with a client in recovery from addiction
  • how to work with someone who is affected by someone else's addiction.

There is currently a Recovery Coach training programme being offered by telephone in America which has ICF credits.
